“Probably the most important piece of political theater of the last decade.” — New York Times

“Spellbinding, funny, and almost unbearably moving…Written with a bluntness that is nevertheless intensely lyrical, it is both a work of art and an incisive piece of cultural history, a poem and a polemic, a performance and a balm and a benediction.”

Standing Together Against Rape (STAR) presents a one-night only benefit reading of Eve Ensler’s award winning play The Vagina Monologues, featuring an all-volunteer cast with many of your favorite local performers.

The Vagina Monologues gave birth to V-Day, a global activist movement to end violence against all women and girls (cisgender, transgender, and those who hold fluid identities that are subject to gender based violence). Every year, V-Day invites community activists around the world to present select benefit events during and leading up to V-Season each February. The purpose of these events is to raise awareness about violence against women and girls as well as raise money (100% of the proceeds must be donated) for local beneficiaries that are working to end violence.

General Admission $20

All proceeds from this event will support STAR’s mission to prevent sexual trauma and provide comprehensive, collaborative crisis intervention, advocacy, and support to victims/survivors, their families, and our communities.
