In this powerful documentary, rare family footage from China during the first and most radical stage of the Cultural Revolution is juxtaposed with the turmoil of the 1960s in countries around the world. Narrated in first person, In The Intense Now reflects on that which is revealed by the Parisian students' uprising in May of 1968; images captured by amateurs during August of the same year, when Soviet forces put an end to the Prague Spring; as well as memorials for students, workers, and police officers killed during the events of 1968.

In Portuguese with English subtitles.

Tickets on sale Tuesday, May 15th online and at the Bear Tooth box office!
