“Band Aid is a charming and profoundly affecting film…Lister-Jones brings a sense of unadorned vulnerability to her performance as the anxious, fearful writer Anna and Pally shines in a nuanced performance as the jokester slacker suddenly responsible for more than he expected. The film is a true dramedy that wrestles with the darker, sadder elements of life in a frank, funny and deeply relatable way.”
-Los Angeles Times

“Band Aid works because Pally and Lister-Jones make their partnership feel genuine. We believe Anna and Ben are a couple, in part because of the performances, but mostly because Lister-Jones’ script resonates with truth. This is a surprisingly truthful, heartfelt film.”
-Roger Ebert

“Lister-Jones is at her best here, sending up our culture of performed perfection and hilariously distilling the way a fight about nothing can also, toxically, be a fight about everything.”
-The New York Post

“It’s warm and witty without feeling the least bit self-conscious, and you can feel the moments when Anna and Ben really start to hear each other. Every couple faces setbacks, but the sweet and sincere Band Aid…makes a convincing case that relationships are all about how you heal from them.”
-Indiewire

“An exuberantly low-key charmer that uses a light, wry touch to tackle such weighty matters as artistic drive and inertia and the male-female divide, while offering new fuel for drummer jokes…with its talented cast of familiar faces, it’s sure to hit the right chords with indie-friendly audiences. ”
-Hollywood Reporter

“Lister-Jones’s indie pop tunes seem just believable enough as spontaneous amateur compositions while still being catchy, and the two characters are never more likable than when they’ve got instruments between them.”
-Variety

“Band Aid ditches the sloganeering and carries us along with Anna and Ben’s rocky ride through mourning the loss of youth, with its absolutist faith that there’s a life code to be cracked, upon which a door will swing open to blissful ever after.”

Band Aid, the refreshingly raw, real, and hilarious feature debut from Zoe Lister-Jones, is the story of a couple, Anna (Zoe Lister-Jones) and Ben (Adam Pally), who can't stop fighting. Advised by their therapist to try and work through their grief unconventionally, they are reminded of their shared love of music. In a last-ditch effort to save their marriage, they decide to turn all their fights into song, and with the help of their neighbor Dave (Fred Armisen), they start a band. A story of love, loss, and rock and roll, Band Aid is a witty and perceptive view of modern love, with some seriously catchy pop hooks to boot.
